(Orion, MI – July 24, 2008) SCATE Technologies, Inc. (SCATE) has announced that it has released new versions of its Ignite 4 and IgniteCAST.com products to support High Definition (HD) video. By implementing the H.264 video compression codec, Ignite 4 and IgniteCAST.com can now deliver presentations with stunning visual accuracy, without performance penalties.

The new versions (4.1) of Ignite 4 Standard and Ignite 4 Professional are being offered as a free update for current users. Current users of Ignite 4 Standard and Ignite 4 Professional that have not already been automatically updated should use the “Tools / Check for Updates” option in Ignite 4 to obtain the release. Users of IgniteCAST.com are automatically updated to the latest technology upon their next visit to the site.

“We are committed to continually advancing the Ignite product line so it continually delivers the highest quality output possible,” said SCATE CTO Jeff Holth. “H.264 has become the global standard for delivering HD quality video over the internet. By implementing these technologies, the door is now open for us to expand our output formats to many additional devices and file types as well," Holth added.
