(December 15, 2005, Orion, MI) SCATE® Technologies, Inc. announced it will launch a formal internship program for college and university students to learn about commercial software product sales, development, and marketing, while earning an income at the same time. SCATE released its new, revolutionary knowledge capture and process documentation software, “SCATE® Ignite®,” on November 2, 2005 and has since enjoyed an astounding response from the business community. In order to support the anticipated rapid growth of SCATE® Technologies, Inc. in 2006, and to help foster the continued development of Information Technology business in Michigan, SCATE will accept applications beginning December 15, 2005. Dan Rea, SCATE’s COO said, “We are proud of our partnership with Oakland Schools, and we have supported local grade school events, as well as exhibited at the recent Automation Alley Superhighway to Success at the Pontiac Silverdome. However, we had not created a program to involve college/university students as of yet, and that will change with this announcement. Our future success depends on a continuous supply of qualified associates so we need to do our part to develop them in any way we can.” SCATE® Technologies, Inc. will offer a unique opportunity for students to be involved in what it feels will be one of the most interesting software product success stories in the industry next year. Positions offered will be in product sales and marketing, application development, and product support. “This program really is close to my heart, as I personally took a sales position with a very small software company (Fox Software, Inc. of Perrysburg Ohio) when I was in school. As many know, Fox Software really took off like a rocket, and it was the ride of my life” said Jeff Holth, SCATE’s Director of Business Development. “That opportunity not only challenged me and created a source of income… it also launched my career. I’d like to see others get that chance to work in this industry, and love every minute of it like we do!” Interested parties should apply by sending an email to internships@scate.com. Applicants should indicate if they are interested in sales, marketing, support or development and include information on what uniquely qualifies them to work and grow in a fast-moving commercial software environment. SCATE will review the applicants beginning January 11, 2006 and invite the finalists (along with guests of their choice) to a career day at the SCATE headquarters in Orion Michigan to be held January 19th. Interns must be available to work 20 hours per week, and able to provide their own transportation.
