SCATE® TECHNOLOGIES, INC. OPEN HOUSE and NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH EVENT A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

Over 100 attend event… Ignite® captures their imagination!

SCATE® Technologies, Inc. launched its new, revolutionary knowledge capture and process documentation software “SCATE® Ignite®” in conjunction with an open house event on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at its Orion, Michigan headquarters. Oakland County Executive, Mr. L. Brooks Patterson was featured as the keynote speaker.

Over 100 people from the business and leadership community were on hand to witness the presentations and the unveiling. By all accounts, the official release of Ignite®, and the ensuing demonstrations, resulted in a “home run hit” for the SCATE® Ignite® team! The event began with refreshments and social networking, then transitioned into a full-on, high-tech, multimedia presentation.

First to speak was SCATE® Technologies, Inc. COO, Dan Rea. Rea, acting as MC for the proceedings, began by voicing his appreciation for the efforts that the Ignite® launch team had invested in the development of Ignite®, and thanked all of the attendees for coming to the event. The launch event was also held on the day that legendary civil rights leader, Ms. Rosa Parks, was laid to rest, and Rea asked that everyone please keep her in their thoughts. Rea then introduced the keynote speaker for the day, Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson.

Mr. Patterson’s comments focused on his technological vision for Oakland County and S.E. Michigan. Mr. Patterson described in detail his plans for “Wireless Oakland” which will enable internet access for all Oakland County residents free of charge. Mr. Patterson described this project as ambitious, but also as very feasible, and announced that a vendor to provide the infrastructure had already been chosen.

Mr. Patterson spoke at length regarding other initiatives that he and his constituency have in place to attract, and retain, high-growth industries to open for business in Oakland County such as the Emerging Sectors program. He cited Webasto Corporation of Rochester, which began with only three employees, and only a few short years later now employs over 300 in Oakland County. "Oakland County prides itself on its clear vision for the future and its unmatched quality of life. We must aggressively pursue the high tech businesses that will help keep Oakland County a global leader," said Patterson.

Next up was Stephen Sadler, SCATE’s President and CEO. Sadler stated that, “Corporations are rapidly losing intellectual property due to downsizing, early retirement, changing technologies and globalization. Companies need a simple method they can use to preserve their intellectual property that resides within the head, desk or desktop of every employee. SCATE® Ignite® captures, collects and preserves that intellectual property. SCATE Technologies, Inc., embraces Oakland County’s ideals and is committed to the advancement of technology.” Mr. Sadler also thanked the entire SCATE team of associates for the dedication and vision they have all put forth in the creation of Ignite®.

The event then moved on to an exciting and impressive multimedia presentation in which the attendees were told to “IGNITE YOUR BUSINESS!” After which Sadler formally unveiled SCATE® Ignite®, and with that, announced that SCATE® Ignite® is officially launched and ready for implementation. Mr. Sadler then invited everyone to stay afterwards to view demonstrations of Ignite® and to learn about other solution capabilities that SCATE offers. Most of the audience did just that, and were treated to a fantastic afternoon of learning and networking!

“SCATE® Ignite® is an excellent example of technological simplicity, combined with form, function and elegance,” said Sadler. We are very excited to launch this product and to help stimulate the technological growth and vision so dear to Mr. Patterson’s heart.”
